The ski’s of the SKKI can be taken of fast and easy. The Skki comes with a combined bags for ski's and frame. You can either carry it with the shoulderstrap or as a backpack. Folded you can store it in your lodge or appartment, toss it in the trunk of your car or taxi. Since it has the size of a guitar most airlines don't charge you for it! No other equipment or special boots are neede for a free ride. Any waterproof and warm boots will do.
